Lots of tvs, decent food, nice staff and crowd. Pretty big beer garden and tvs outside too.

Not very knowledgeable staff. Service can be awful sometimes and food is mediocre. However, I do feel that they have good TV placements for games. Would not recommend this place:(

I went to Real Time on Superbowl Sunday to watch the game! This was a great place to watch as there are screens EVERYWHERE. We had an end booth and a screen right behind us to watch which was great! Out waitress started off a bit rude & short with us but as the night went on she won us over. My friends got the nachos which are $15 but it was SO huge! Three of them attempted to eat the nachos and it looked they hardly had a dent in them when taken away. We all shared the deep fried cheese curds which were amazing! The price is just $6 as a February special and it's a good portion. I highly recommend these if you go in the month of love. Speaking of February specials, they are supposed to have some mixed drinks on special for the month, however they said the specials weren't valid the day we went on...I guess because it was Superbowl Sunday. That sucked but they did have Newcastle pints for $3.50 so I stuck to a British beer for the night. For my dinner I got the stuffed burger as others recommended on Yelp to be about as good as it gets here. It's true, the burger was decent. I asked for it medium and it seemed more like well done. The concept is very cool though shoving a bunch of ingredients inside the meat patty. It was so thick that I had to cut it in half to have any chance of fitting it in my mouth! When I cut it the cheese just oozed out--those insides were delicious. It comes with fries which we upgraded to Sweet Potato Fries per my friends' request to nosh on them. They seemed to enjoy them as they ate every last one! I've been to Real Time quite a bit in the past few years and all in all, it's a great place to get together with your friends for a drink & some appetizers. Don't go here expecting an amazing experience & meal though. They should add a Trivia Night to lure me & my friends back in~!!!

I've been here on 2 occasions with coworkers and I have nothing negative to say. The prices were reasonable. The bartenders were superb. Overall great time. I'm sure I'll be back here again.

We visited Real Time Sports Bar for lunch. Very interesting place, with the TV screens all around the large room - I never saw so many screens at one place. Food was fresh and tasty. I had chili and salad combo - Chili soup was one of the best ever - very pleasant, made with small chunks of meat. The Greek salad was fresh, with also with good amount of grilled chicken. This place is definitely recommended.

Great food! Fun place to drink with friends. Lots of TVs. Darts pool table and arcade games. However they tend to call last call a half hour before close and kick you out before their posted close time.

Food is good. Service is bad. We had a group of 20. Waitress came around, cleared all the tabs and no waitress came around after then. After stopping someone, we got accused of throwing Tabasco sauce on her. Like really?! And you didnt notice. Tabasco sauce is not easy to "pour"on without you noticing. You have cameras, go look. (As we were threatened) maybe she didnt like the .50 cent tip i left her because she didnt even know they carried the beer i was drinking since i arrived. As a manager standing around, you shouldn't allow the waitresses to handle issues if they do not know the FACTS!!! So after all, if your at a table. You have to pay your tab and leave because you cant sit around and GET SERVICE!

Decent sports bar with plenty of TV's. The service is on the slow side. Even thought they have a full menu, if you come late (after 11:00pm) they only have pizza available.

  • Jillian N.

This sports bar does have a lot of TV screens and has a large menu of food items and a large selection of drinks, the only problem is the slow service. I've been here three times and every time it wasn't super busy but service was super slow. I would have had another beer or two if the waitress came back before our meal was over, so I could order one, but she didn't. Sure way to lose money. Waitress was nice but every time they all seemed overwhelmed. It is very convenient place to go because its close to work and home but there are better sports bars out there.

Make no mistake, this is a sports bar, pure and simple since there are screens everywhere you look. But Real Time Sports has a style and atmosphere that one rarely finds in a sports bar, which makes me a big fan. You can tell this place is different just by viewing their selection of single malt scotches. Oh sure, that is mostly for show, but all of the decor and furnishings are several steps above the norm. The quality of the menu does not fall short either. I have tried many of the apps and sandwiches and not one that I have tried could be considered "pub food" as I have had far worse at much classier restaurants. I especially like that you can substitute a salad for most starch sides, and the side salad is pretty good on its own. I will be honest and share with you that I have never been here when it has been jam packed, so each time I have had pretty good service. Neither have I tried the pizza here as the main section of the menu has kept me pretty happy.

I'm not sure why I continuously find myself here. I wouldn't say I come on a regular basis, but I've been a handful of times. I'm guessing it's primarily due to the location and convenience. Other than that, there's not much I find real outstanding. Food - If overpriced bar grub is what you're looking for, that is what you will find at Real Time. Not only is it significantly overpriced, it's really not that great. It's fairly average. If onion rings, chips & salsa, or motz sticks is what you're craving, go for those. You really can't mess those up TOO much. The burgers and sammies are okay...nothing to get your knickers in a knot over. I have noticed they also serve prime rib. Seriously?! When did a sports bar transform into a Lawry's?! Whatevs... Service - Atrocious. The servers all have 'tudes. Big ones. If you ask them for your water refilled, or a chicken sandwich without the bun ((gasp!!)) prepare to feel like you just asked them to filter the water or slaughter the chicken themselves. Well...that is if you can find your server. I often find they are scarce, which is odd when the dining area is rarely busy. Atmosphere - It's a loud sports bar. For some reason, I find it louder than most, but maybe my ears are just more sensitive. Who knows. The only time I have encountered a crowd was during happy hour. When I use to work across the street, I found myself there having a beer after work once in a while with many of the other Hamilton Lakes 9 to 5ers. I will give them a star for having a massive amount of televisions. If you're looking to watch a specific game, chances are they have it on. For a happy hour beer or to watch a game, it's a decent place to go. However, if you're looking for good food, good fun, and good service, then Real Time Sports is a real disappointment.

I had no idea this place was here - it hides behind the steakhouse and hotel. This is a good place to come and get a drink or some bar food (we got the mozzarella sticks, and they were tasty). They have some great drink specials as well - when we went all the drafts were $3. The service wasn't spectacular (I had to wave down the bartender a few times). Now that I know this place exists, and that it is so close, I will be frequenting here more often!

I went there couple days ago with a friends. It was Wednesday night. Place was almost full, surprising for the regular week night. Service was great, waitress Marina was really nice to us. Helped everyone to pick a right match from the menu. Most of us were drinking beer (big variety of domestic and import ), girls were drinking cocktails from the specials ($5 Martini!!). Drinks were on a table on time. Place has lots of deals for drinks and food. I personally ordered BBQ Burger with a sweet potato fries. Awesome!!! As an appetizer, I'll recommend everyone to try Nachos, huge portion!! Food arrived shortly. Great thing - they have a video games there, also pool and darts. So, after couple of drinks I was showing my pool skills))) We even had a little competition there. Almost forgot....juke box, machine which made our night, we were able to order our favorite songs!!! Nice atmosphere didnt give us a chance to leave early that night, we stayed there almost till closing. Highly recommended place!!

*SPOILER ALERT: Lame review coming through* I'm not sure why I keep coming here...nothing is particularly exceptional but I feel comfortable here. I don't care about sports so the million flat screens are lost on me. I do care about beer but the beer list is just "meh". (I did get a $5 Sierra Nevada bomber today which was nice, but it was also one of the only decent beers available. Bah.) The food here is decent...I either go for the hot boneless wings (HUGE) or the stuffed burgers which are pretty good. Overall, this is a good place to grab a beer, watch a game, or play some darts, but it is not a place that I would consider as a favorite. Sorry Real Time...just keeping it real.

Slow service, pretty bad even for bar food, drinks weren't super cheap or anything. only bar close to my hotel but didnt want to go back

Lots of TVs for sports viewing which is great! Great selection of food as well with fantastic service. Very laid back sports bar that offers your standard beer selections.

What a disgusting place, ordered mussels, and stuffed pizza, after 50 minutes they brought them together., told them to take the mussels back as we were not fount to eat them since we had the pizza. Waitress came back and told is that the manager would not charge us. Really wow! The pizza was the worse stuffed pizza I have ever had, the crust tasted like plastic and the sauce tasted like someone poured a pound of sugar over it. The waitress hardly ever showed up and the moronic manager didn't even bother coming to the table. I rarely get this pisses, what An awful experience, if any one in charge reads this please fire the idiot manager, the dizzy waitress and get a new pizza recipe you truly suck!!!!

  • Karrie T.

The Thai Peanut Chicken Satay was very good. The Babe Ruth Sandwich (Ruben) was very disappointing, the meat was very chewy, some parts were completely uneatable , the marbled rye was good as are their fries. I would be willing to try them again for something different

Good, solid sports bar. Came on a rainy stormy night to watch the Cubs and Tigers play. There were plenty of places to sit and see the game. My friend and I both ordered salads. The Ty Cobb salad was huge and loaded with everything. My friend's caesar salad had tons of braded chicken on top. Ordered a dirty martini and it was nice and strong (only needed 1). Waitress was attentive and friendly. A little ditzy but whatever. Bottom line: solid food, good service, enough TV to watch your favorite sports. I'd come back here.

We eat at Real Time fairly frequently. Food is good but service is hit or miss. BWW is opening in Elk Grove Village this summer and will severely impact Real Time and Coaches Corner's business if they don't step it up quickly!

  • Steve M.

Prices are decent, food okay, service leaves s lot to be desired. I couldn't get the waitress when I needed her because I was out of beer and cover in wing sauce with no napkin, but when I went to the bathroom, she took my beer away...

Good Sports bar in the suburbs! I would go here if I lived in the suburbs and wanted to catch a day of games or a blackhawks game. Service was great, fun crowd on the weekend. Great looking outdoor patio too.

  • Joseph L.

Nothing special here. It's just ok. Kind of what you would expect for a franchise sports bar. They get packed during sporting events and have kind of awkward positioning of their tv's. Their buffet is decent but not great. Pretty average place.

I have been here many times over the years. Probably been going here for about 9 years or so off and on. In fact, I remember when they first opened and I used to go with my old colleagues from my old company and just last month was my 9 year anniversary at my current job so it's been over 9 years. Food- 2 stars Basic bar food. Nothing special or memorable about it. Although I do recall their pizza being icky. Sadly, I encourage you to stick to the deep fried items here to be safe. Service- 4 stars (I'm basing this on most recent experiences...) Friendly servers. Obvious that they care and want to make sure patrons are happy and have everything they need. Atmosphere- 4 stars I love a good sports bar. It's clean, there is good eye candy for the ladies and he gents, alike. Lots of the after work crowd. A lot of TV's so you can't miss a play. Bar- 3 stars I'm used to a nice pour of vodka in my mixed drinks and this place is like the boat in Elgin, exact pours and nothing else. Not that I want them to break the law or anything but jeez, could you be any more stingy? I don't do beer, and I'm very particular about my liquor, so their drink specials are not of any value to me. I know, I'm a pain in the ass. Location- 3 stars I hate their parking lot. I am pretty certain the person that designed the lot was drinking at the time. It's in an awful location but once you're inside, it's fine. It's not my first choice for a sports bar but it is conveniently located for cocktails after work so it's a good spot for them in that respect. Will I return? Yes, but not because I chose the place...that will be someone else's doing. I would probably hit up any of the local townie Elmhurst bars before I go here because I prefer old school places that resemble Cheers rather than Buffalo Wild Wings, but that's just me!

Real Time is not reinventing the sports bar or anything but they do what they do well enough to keep me and my co-workers coming back when we're hungry for a buffet or need a happy hour. I've probably been to the lunch buffet about three times or so. Each time I've been there, on different days, the menu changes. They will always have salad and pizza but the main dishes changes for variety. As for happy hour, I've tried their loaded nachos which were fairly large - enough to feed a table of 4-5 people. I like to try different micro brews and I tend to favor stouts, but you don't get much of those two here. Overall, if you're looking to watch a game and thrown down a few brews, this place is large enough to accommodate big groups of people. To sum up Real Time: Lots of TVs, American bar fare food, and sports - HUH!

  • Megan G.

This place is SO good! I stop in every time I'm in the Chicago and surrounding areas. Their boneless wings are massive, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The BBQ Freaking Hot are my favorite of the sauce offerings, but watch out, they have some serious heat that'll creep up on you. Love this place!

  • Christine A.

A good standard sports bar. This was the go-to happy hour spot at my last job and I still hit it up with them around once a month to catch up on work gossip. They've got a great number of TVs to watch whatever hockey, soccer, etc game is on at the moment. Beer specials are standard for Friday nights bars in the area, but this one is bigger and cleaner than most, and has outdoor seating. I am a fan. Their loaded baked potatoes and nachos are huge and wonderful and accompany and Coors Light tall boy (or four) just right. Service is a little slow and the sea of tables between the booths and the bar can be a cluster... Well you know. But there's a free popcorn machine and a good selection of draft and bottle beers. If you're feeling it, get an Apples and Oranges, which is hard cider mixed with Blue Moon. It's great. Solid happy hour and game watching spot. Do not bother with the lunch buffet though. All warmed by heat lamps and bland food.

1st I have to point out I was with a large group and the room we were in should have been worked by 1 server exclusively or 2 with additional tables. Because management did not appropriate correctly, our party had some negative comments about the service, but the food was exceptional. Maybe if the buss boys were trained as server assistance my rating would have been higher because there were plenty of buss boys but they didn't help the process. They couldn't even get us napkins and utensils. Get the broast chicken, it's tender and delicious. They also have mussels, which I heard were good also. I had the personal size Popeye Pizza which was more than enough for 1 person. Great crust, sauce is white with cream cheese, topped with spinach and artichoke hearts and mozzarella cheese! Yummy!

Last few occasions my friends and I have come here we have seated ourselves at the high top bar table & have waited a long time before a server came to greet us. We just sat down 25 mins ago & one of my friends had to go to the host & ask for a server (who knows how long it would been! Service is horrible... I keep hoping it will get better & hasn't yet. I think I may have to stop coming...

  • Trever J.

I stopped by Real Time for the first time tonight and will definitely be going back. There is ample seating and it doesn't seem as though there is a bad seat in the house. The bartender (I don't remember her name) was super nice and made awesome drinks. She was very personal to all of her customers and made it a great night! The Calamari was awesome and came with fried jalapeños as well!!

  • Ryan L.

It's kinda like a Best Buy threw up in here with all the TV's. Saying there are lots of TVs here would be an understatement. Looks like a Black Friday spectacular! Not too bad. Daisy Cutter was on special for $3.50. That's a pretty good price for it. The cheesesticks were tasty and the service was friendly. It's clean and cavernous so if you find yourself out there in whatever suburb it's in (I don't remember which one), it's not a bad option.

I came to Real Time for my first Victory Lap. This was after a work function where we all met to have a few more drinks. We rounded up a group of tall boys and had a couple rounds of drinks. Real Time is a sports bar with televisions, bar arcade games, and also a section for restaurant style seating. The specials were ok for a Friday but nothing that really stood out. Beer is beer so I can't comment on that but the waitstaff was slightly slow. I don't know if it was because she was serving tables as well as us but we had a hard time finding her when we needed another drink. With a group of about 10-15 you would expect a little more attention as there is potential for a gratuitous tip. Overall, Real Time is a good choice for a local sports bar.

Food doesn't kill you but you may starve to death. Serve is sloooooooooowwwww. The only good thing was that our waitress was cute and friendly.

Great place to watch the Blackhawks games! They have the goal horn hooked up for when they score. :) Great food, reasonable prices too!!!!! My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken sandwich with a blue moon.

SERVICE HERE IS TERRIBLE TONIGHT FRIDAY OCTOBER 24.. I will definitely reconsider coming back here again, even though I've been here a few times in the past & I can tell you im very dissappointed. If my waitress would ever come to my table Id be able to give you her name to know to stay away. But she never comes to ask if we need anything.. Finally Candice our waitress came around. Thanks for terrible service!

Stayed at the country inn next door for 1 night on a business trip, show the hotel key and get 10% off. Had the fried chicken it was okay. Service was good and fast.

  • Kelsey L.

First, the service was terrible! They had one waitress working the entire restaurant! It took forever to get our drinks and even longer to get our food. We spent a few hours waiting on the food. When the food came out, it was wrong, so they had to take it back and start ALL over again. Once the food was correct and served, it was mediocre. Nothing great about it. It doesn't take much to make me happy, but the food wasn't even up to par. The music was awful. From a range of rap music to country, none of the songs were "sports bar" appropriate for all of the other sports bars I've been to. The music was all over the place. They should've hired a DJ. I'm visiting from out of town, but I can assure you if I ever come back, I will not be going here if I'm hungry due to lack of service, OK food, and terrible music.

This is a great place to go for a quick beer or glass of wine after work. In a convenient location, Real Time Sports Bar sits just west of 53 between Oakbrook and Schaumburg on Rahlwing Road. It's a little dark, but that's okay. The servers are friendly and attentive. We had their sliders as an appetizer (3 pulled pork and two cheeseburgers). They were large enough to make a meal of and relatively inexpensive. They also have a fairly extensive beer menu, with lots on tap. The night I went they had bottled beer on sale - domestic for $2.50 and imported for $3.00. The noise levels seem well controlled. It was very crowded, but my guest and I were able to talk to each other and be heard easily without needing to yell. That sets this place apart from others for me. I hate not being able to communicate at bars.

  • Alec H.

I was glad to find a good sports bar nearby where my family lives. We've been here quite a few times. I know that this is not the cream of the crop for sports bars, but unless you want to drive 5 or 10 miles for only incrementally better service... Real Time Sports will do just fine.

    (4)
  • BJ F.

Great place to come and watch a game, lots of TVA and great atmosphere (plus outdoorseating!!!) there is quieter booth seating or plenty of high top tables in the bar area. Love the menu. Something for everyone and all ages!

  • Dodd V.

I have been here 3 times recently and overall was pretty happy with our food and service. We tried the thin crust pizza which was pretty boring and basic, but the soups, wings, and burgers were all very very good and generous portions. The two times I came in during the day on weekends, they were pretty slow and service was excellent. I was once served by Britt and once by Annie and both were extremely friendly and provided fantastic service. Additionally, I was there with my 7 year old son and both were very friendly with him and actually took the time to chat with him and make him feel at home. That was very nice of them to do. I was also there once on a Saturday night and while the food was still good, the service was terrible. The place was pretty busy, but they also had plenty of staff so the bad service was inexcusable. Everything was slow that night, but the worst was having to wait 30 minutes to get my check when we were done eating at then once we got the check, it took another 15 minutes to complete the payment transaction. If only I had cash on me, I would have just left it on the table and gotten out of there. This could have been an issue with the specific waitress (whom I won't name), or some other one off issue so I won't complain too much. I will let the great service from the other two visits even this one out.

Came to realtime with a co-worker tonight. First it took 15 minutes for 1 of 2 bsrtrnders to greet us, the bar was empty... and the girl only took half of our order... it took another 5 minutes for me to get a beer. We ordered nachos... when they came out the guacamole was already brown and they looked like they had been sitting in the kitchen for 45 min (which is how long they took to come out). There were dirty tables everywhere. And the salt and pepper shakers were empty. Very disappointed... and will not be returning!

I've come here 3 times, all for lunch buffet with co-works. It's a nice place with lots to mess around with. Big TVs, sports, pool, video games, etc. Food is decent, too. Some days, they have ribs, some days they have steak. The usual includes two types of pizza, wings, fried chicken, green bean casserole, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, salad, bread sticks, fruits, etc. I find the selection acceptable for a sports bar, and I can definitely eat til I'm full. One thing I did find odd... I don't know if they have a specific rule or dress code for it, but all female servers seem to be C cup or larger?

  • Peter K.

I've been here a couple of times and had a burger and wings. The food is nice and they give you huge portions. The wings (if you order 6) are the same amount of food as 12-15 BWW wings because they are the FULL wing. But mainly, this place goes down as one star because of the service. I've been there on several occasions where it's hard to get a drink or even to change a channel on a screen. One night, when the bulls were playing, I asked for one screen out of the 50 that were showing the Bulls game to be changed to another channel and it took me asking 3 different waiters / waitresses 15 times before they would even change it (this took about 30 minutes). Additionally, I asked several times for drink refills and the server would never come around to do it. Even after affirming that he would, he didn't come around. It's like we weren't important in to them as business. If I ever do go back, it will likely only be because friends want to be there.

Went here the other night with friends. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. We ordered the garlic parmesan wings and stuffed deep dish pizza. Everyone at my table was impressed by the overall experience.

A decent place to watch a game and have a beer. I've been here a few times and there are ups and downs to my experiences. The food here is average. The wings are double jointed wings, so they're big. Make sure you don't over order (which I think I've done every time). I tried the reuben last time, and I thought it was okay, but a bit light on the thousand island. There are frequent drink specials, so I would definitely ask about those every time you go. There's also enough screens around to make sure you're watching the game you want. The thing that's varied the most for me is the service. Sometimes slow and inattentive. Other times they're there the minute you need them. I think if you sit closer to the bar section you'll get slightly better/consistent service. Overall... I'd come here to watch the game and grab a beer, but for food... maybe not.

My friend was getting married at Belvedere Banquets next door, and the rehearsal dinner was here. it was an...interesting choice for a rehearsal dinner. Let's start with the drinks--you have three options set up on a table: Miller Lite, Diet Coke and Water. Now I don't know if this was the choices of the restaurants' (a package maybe??) or the groom's parents, but it seemed limited in their options. For dinner, there were three things buffet-style to choose from: Chipsw/ artichoke dip, nachos w/ stuff on it, and pizza. The pizza was terrible. I couldn't even eat it, and I love pizza. It was quite the bummer since I was starving. However, the bartender did know how to make a strong Girl Scout Cookie shot, and that made my night a little better!

I came here with my husband and another couple for Thursday night drinks. They advertised $2 domestic and $3 imports....though Blue Moon is technically domestic, they charged me almost $4 because it was a draft beer! I didn't ask for a draft, they automatically gave it to me. Our waitress also didnt let us know the prices reflected bottled beer only! I dont think our waitress smiled ONCE! She seemed to be in an extremely bad mood (i dont know why! There were a ton of people there = good money!). I ordered sweet potato fries with ranch, which were quite yummy! This place has the potential to be a great sports bar! The drink deals seemed great...except they were misleading. The wait staff could be more friendly...it is JUST Elk Grove Village, there's no reason for the wait staff to be rude/snobby or in a bad mood! Maybe we'll check it out on a different night and have better results! ps...the patio was pretty cool though!

I have to imagine, in light of the many negative reviews, that this place has made some changes. I took my father in law here for father's day to watch the NBA finals and we had a great experience. The food was surprisingly good. My wife's burger was cooked rare as ordered and had great beefy flavor and a nice sear. My chicken bruschetta was crispy with a good fresh tomato flavor. Sides of sweet potato fries and squash veggies were very good. Service was cheerful and attentive. And there are about a zillion tvs.

The buffet was good when I wasn't worried about my weight, lol. Delivery sometimes only if the driver comes in.

I prefer to go to Coach's Corner however this is not a bad place. It is a little on the pricey side but offers a good amount of beer on tap and drink specials. There are a ton of TV's so it is a good place to go watch a game.

Service here is terrible! Walked in and the ladies at the front gave me attitude. I ordered 4 sliders here one time and ate 2 of them. Went to the bathroom and came back and they cleared them out. The manager gave me a big fuss about it. When I was at the bar, the bartender poured half my beer, walked away for like 5 minutes. Came back and poured the rest of my beer and poured a different one and than walked away again. There was a terrible cover band that had their amplifiers on way too loud to make the whole experience worse.

It's a mixed bag. Beer specials are decent. However, the service and buffet are awful. My coworkers and I just had lunch there today. We were seated by a manager and had the buffet and some soft drinks. We never had a waitress approach us and eventually ambushed one ourselves. Luckily, she was assigned to our table, but was simply too busy to do much beyond get us some fresh plates and offer refills. The offer was kind, but the iced tea refills took about ten minutes to arrive. For a "pizza place", the buffet was mediocre at best. ONE thin crust cheese and ONE thin crust sausage pizza were available on the entire buffet. You can guess how long those lasted when they were brought out. Fixings for beef or chicken "fajitas" were available with small, stale tortillas and a minimum of sides. The "salad" was just chopped lettuce. Nothing else. Dressing choices were not labeled, but appeared to be ranch and something orange. Overall, it was disappointing. We will not be returning. There are much better choices available nearby.

Its been about 5 years since I came here last, but was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in for lunch. I went with the lunch buffet for $9.95 (soft drinks are extra). The buffet featured two pizzas; well actually about 1/3 of a pizza and two slices of another. The guys in front of me grabbed the 1/3 and I asked if a new one is coming from the guy coming in and out of the kitchen. He did not say a word, but came out within about 20 sec with another pizza (sausage). I took one look and could tell that it was sitting around the back, as the cheese did not look like it just came out of the oven. I put a few slices on my plate and touched them: COLD. He actually saw me do it and just darted back in the kitchen. The rest of the buffet featured chewy overcooked chicken, some sort of a thin steak type meat, pasta, veggies and potatoes. There is also a nice small fruit and salad table at the end of the buffet. Service was mediocre, but the food was probably some of the worst I have ever eaten. Somehow this place manages to stay in business and given the large size of the dining and bar area it must do some serious volume or is bleeding $. The place was about 90% empty @ lunchtime (12:30). Must be the after work crowd that comes in to drink and order a ton of appetizers.

I'm very glad to write this review... I placed a very large order of wings, today, for an office potluck. I think it was my lucky day because the owner, Ben, took my request. The order was ready on time, packed well, and I got a little help loading the car, too. I was surprised that the wings are huge and are also very delicious! Our whole office staff is ooohing and ahhhing about them... Thank you!

The food is mediocre at best, the acoustics are stink and they add a $4.99 "service charge" --this is not considered the tip-- to each bill so for god's sake DO NOT ask for separate checks...

Real Time is The Real Deal I only recently discovered Real Time several months ago after a new guy on my softball team recommended making it our regular post-game hang-out. It has been such a good experience that many members of the team, including myself, have gone on days when we don't have a game. First of all, the food is excellent. Like many other reviewers have said, their buffalo wings are amazingly good and ridiculously big (one wing is like two). I also really like their slider sampler. But the best deal has to be the pizza. Like the wings, it's delicious and gigantic. In fact, one of their sizes of pizza nearly takes up the whole table. The drink specials are great. We spent our Wednesday nights ordering mini pitchers of Miller products for $3.00 a pop - a terrific value! They also offer seasonal specials and smaller craft beers like Batch 19. The place offers plenty of seating, but be sure to get there early on game day if you want to sit in the bar. The bar area is lined with at least 20 tv's, but it fills up quick. If you have a group, I would recommend calling in a reservation. There is a nice lounge area that includes a pool table. They also have a couple of dart boards, a Golden Tee machine, and a digital juke box, but for the life of me, I have never seen anyone use these things. The patio is spacious and inviting, and no one complains if you light up a cigar. The best part of Real Time, however, has to be the people. My group and I have enjoyed interacting with everyone, from management to the server staff. The assistant manager even bought our group a round once. One night, some friends and me were sitting on the patio. The owners happened to be there entertaining some guests, and they had a lot of appetizers they didn't plan on eating. They graciously three plates filled with buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, barbecue ribs , and stuffed potato skins at no charge to my party. Now I'm not saying this is a regular occurrence, and we were certainly at the right place at the right time, but the owners could have just as easily thrown the food out or given it to their staff, but instead, they gave it to their patrons, which was a nice touch. Give Real Time a try; I doubt you will be disappointed.

Service is always bad, Wings have come out cold too many times for us to count. I'm done with this place. Place looks dirty...someone needs to care. Last visit was too stressful to enjoy any part of the food I had to send back to because it was cold.

The service destroyed our meal. The food was average but the lack of service would keep us from coming back. When we complained on our way out it was known by the entrance area staff that our particular server was less than stellar. We then spoke to the manager Shawn that would let Rob know his service wasn't the best. Our party of 9 gave him his unearned tip.

Came here for a friend's birthday dinner/drinks. Their menu is small, strange, and expensive. I ordered the pulled-pork (nothing special) and their spicy chips (awesome). They had $3.50 tall cans of Miller/Coors/etc which was great. We were sat at a large group table, I was facing the window which had no TVs along that wall so that sucked. People sitting across from me had a great view though lol.

Came here to watch game 7 in the Blackhawks / Redwings series. It was to be expected that it would be a madhouse in here (pun intended). Service was rather slow for my liking... while our waitress was very personable and nice, she was juggling too many tables to keep the beer flowing. It was nearly 20 minutes from the time I joined my friends to the time I got my first beer. Ordered mussels to see what they'd be like.... survey says, Very Salty! The scampi sauce was good, however they also forgot to bring a dish for the empty shells. They actually forgot to bring us plates when they brought out the pizza too. The thin crust pizza was tasty, but a tad bland. They do a great job with the atmosphere, lots of HDTV's for sports viewing. Maybe just add a few more folks to the floor on a playoff night (I heard you're a Blackhawks bar). They raffled off Cubs tickets and a Blackhawks jersey at the end of the game... free raffle, not bad!

Great place to chill with friend to watch a game... Food is generally OKAAAAAAYYY....but ONE item on the menu we are HUGE fans of: Their wings!!! I hate going to places where the wings are teeny tiny and wimpy....this place definitely delivers in the wing department...FULL three-section wings, BIG, juicy, DELICIOUS! We are partial towards the garlic parmesan wings.. Wings are basically the only item we get at the restaurant....great place to go to satiate a crunchy wing craving :) yum

I went here when it was a UFC event, It was silva vs vitor belfort. Obviously this place was packedd as shittttttttt ! I heard about this place through a friend...it is a real nice place but it was kind of hard to find. This place is pretty big and clean and has Tv's everywhere. I think I would have enjoyed it more on a night where it was so crowded, I plan on going back soon.

The service was great and there is a ridiculous amount of Flat screens.. The Blackhawks game had everyone cheering and singing and the atmosphere was great but all good things come to an end.. the end is called their food. Their blackened rib eye sandwich was disguising! (Greasy and not blackened at all). The fries were mediocre at best. Nachos were alright but nothing to brag about. Overall its an awesome place to grab a beer w/ your friends and have a great time watching a game or two in a comfortable environment - I'd just eat somewhere else or wait till you're hammered so the taste doesn't actually matter.

  • Scott M.

Don't waste your money, I've given this place more than enough chances and the last time i ate here my entree arrived 20 minutes later than everyone else and then after waiting, the fries were cold and the chicken was dry. Their buffet is also rather tasteless and bland unless you load up on their grease coated pizza which is pretty good if you don't mind pounding your chest as you indulge so your heart doesn't stop. At any rate, the buffet is quicker than waiting for food service because the wait staff seldom remembers their customers and for some reason they can't be bothered to split tickets for more than two people. I haven't stopped here for drinks only once as I'm not a bar person but it was like any other bar I've visited.

  • Nick S.

I've only been here once to watch a game. I didn't care for the floor plan. For such a large place, we couldn't find a decent place to sit and it wasn't that busy. I'll tell you what, there aren't a lot of good places to watch a game around in Elk Grove. If you have any better ideas, send me a note. I think the Stonewood Ale House is a better place to watch the game. They have plasmas all over the place.

Horrable service way over prices food, went there Sunday ordered a drink at bar asked if they had waitress service outside at the patio was told yes then I sat there 35 minutes only seen one waitress checking on other guests never bothered to take my order ????? Guess they didn't want my 40.00 order will never eat here again if they offered me a meal for free I'd tell them where to stick it go elsewhere

My wife and I went in for a couple of cocktails and munchies today around 330 for my birthday. Our 1st bartender was great, real attentive and personable. After she left the next bartender was somewhat less, but still personable. Around 530ish, she disappeared and another bartender started making the rounds around the bar. Boy she was a treat, hair a mess, zero personality, no eye contact, smiles or nothing. It looked like she rolled out of bed and showed up to work, WHAT A DOWNER. We flagged here over, she came and stood there, not saying a word until we spoke. We wanted our bill and all she asked was if we had a credit card on file?. When we finally were leaving, my wife saw our other bartender, probably back from break and we tried to flag her. Unknown to me, was my wife arranged to have some birthday cake to arrive before we left. Well she forgot and by then we just wanted to leave. Don't get me wrong, the drinks were good and so were the hot wings and the pizza was just so-so. But, all it takes is 1 bad person to ruin the whole experience at any establishment. It's too bad for the owners, it was our first time and we were expecting alot more. It seems like a great sports bar but we will not ever be going back. G.E.

This is where you will find me watching a game and having a good meal. All around it's a fun place to go. I have been going here since they opened a couple years back. It's close to my work, so I have gone to lunch here several times as well as after work for drinks & the buffet. The only negative about this place is that the food is a bit pricey. They have drink specials everyday which sometimes helps out with the bill at the end of the night. I definitely would suggest the Nachos here, they are amazing and piled high, you will need help eating them. They serve Suparossa Pizza's here, they are mouth watering good and so good with a beer! All the food served, whatever you get, is in large portions and may be why the prices are a bit high. The service seems to be better at a high table or booth. Sitting at the bar, the bartenders are not always on top of the drinks. They also have outdoor seating in warmer weather. A new hotel & banquet hall next store may draw more patrons here on the weekend. However, I still can find a place here without waiting, it's pretty spacious.

RTS is a good place to come & watch a game of any sort. They have a bunch of flat screens which surround the upper part of the bar so you can see at least 1 of them no matter where you're sitting, there's also 2 big projectors if your view is really obstructed. As far as the food, their pizza alone is reason to stop in, it's phenomenal! Their mozzarella sticks were very good too. I tried a burger & it was a disappointing, flavorless patty but the fries were decent. I've been here a handful of times & had fun, but the last 2 made me scratch my head at the DJ that was playing, she had to be at least 60 years old! Granted, she was playing up to date tracks & requests, but the first sight of her made me do the biggest double take ever.

I am a sports fan, and I love this place. It's my favorite place to watch college football and the food is quite tasty, especially the nachos and stuffed burgers. . They make strong, spicy (but not TOO spicy) bloody marys too, which never fails to score points in my book. The service here is decent; they respond well to random requests (like, for instance, to bring me bread with chili, or to "make us an orange shot" so we could celebrate after UIUC beat OSU last season). Also, I don't know if they still do this, but they had a few promotional events where members of the Chicago Bears would come, hang out, and sign autographs. I met Alex Brown this way, and my sister met Peanut Tillman. Kickass!

I'm giving this 3 star SPORTS BAR 4 stars to make up for the 1 star review. Why would someone who doesn't like sports go to a place that has "SPORTS" in its name? Probably the same people who review STEAK houses by ordering a fish item and being disappointed. So it's 3 stars for noisy ambience (during games), decent food, better than average Bloody Mary's, variable service, but good with special requests. A really FUN place to go if you want to cheer on your SPORTS team (not the ballet contest).

This place can be fun. I live within walking distance (or should I say stumbling distance) so I've been quite a few times. The staff is friendly and the booze is about average priced. I haven't ordered food so I can't speak to it. I know that when I had a friend in from out of town we had a blast at the bar. The bartender poured me a black and tan one night that was really terrible but she went back and fixed it (it took her a few tries but whatev). Tonight I went and they were out of Guinness but they have a few other good options on tap. It's worthwhile to hit it up. I see they have Trivia on Tuesday or Thursday nights so I might try to talk some people into meeting me there for that one of these nights.

HORRIBLE service! I've been meaning to write this for over a year, but always forget. I had my wedding at the Belvedere and was excited that we would be able to use this for after hours. The manger and staff were so unwelcoming it ruined what would have been a great time. At least 50 of my guests came over and they refused to open up the far end of the bar of us! They changed the closing time AFTER we got there. To top it off the "band" called my new husband and I to the stage and sang "F'ing her gently"! YES, on my wedding night in front of family and friends! Completely inappropriate and when we complained to the manager he just shrugged his shoulders! Do not go here!

Went here for lunch with group from work place was pretty empty. Big bar and eating area. I'm sure it fills up for games. Typical sports bar nothing to much to talk about. As for the food I had the Ty Cobb salad, not bad at all. Others had a salad, chicken, burger. No one was complaining. Service was decent prices about average. My experience was ok.

Does your karaoke sound like cats having sex? It's all good. On Saturday nights, they'll just turn the music up to defend your dignity. Good place to watch some games in the suburbs. It's not as great as The Foundry in Naperville, but it's all good. The potato skins kick all sorts of ass. They're not some half-assed skins, but they're half of a potato, horizontally, still thick with potato, crispy, and chock full of goodies. I even found a boot in there that I lost in an ice-fishing hole back in '92.

Restaurant was clean. Service was good. Our server was polite and always taking care of our needs. Food is very overpriced. It is good, but they could stand to lower the prices on everything about $2. Definitely not the best choice if on a budget or taking the family. I went with a restaurant.com certificate which read, "does not expire" Manager Ben refused to accept my certificate because they were DONE with the restaurant.com deal as he or the company had an issue with the way the program was run. I admitted I had not seen anymore certificates for sale as I was looking for more. But I felt he should have still honored my certificate which he flatly refused. He didn't offer any other solution in place of the certificate to make up for my inconvenience. I called the corporate number on the back and spoke with a gentleman who was quite surprised or acted surprised that Ben had made that choice. He stated he could put me in touch with the other owner Tom. I am still waiting. I am a fan of a NFL team whose games are not always televised. We have opted out of the NFL ticket and decided to go to neighborhood sports bars and watch our games. I suppose Real Time Sports has decided they don't need my business and that's a shame.

Big ugly strip mall bar with no character. Places like this are why alot of suburbanites go to the city. Plenty of seating and the times I went most were empty. Nothing special about this place and the suburbs of Cook County and Dupage are filled with no thrilled places like this

  • Erik J.

You know, it's a sports bar. There's not a whole lot of variety in these kind of joints. But, this place gets some love for having a less noisy outdoor area (with some TVs still). I went during a Blackhawks game - which is basically a mind numbing experience. Everybody and their aunt's dentist's dog have become Blackhawks fans since the Olympics. So, of course, my perception is slightly skewed by that unpleasantness. I called it quits after an hour or so with this friend of mine. Didn't get a chance to have any food - drinks were ok. I'd probably just get a beer next time around.

The food for a suburban bar (which is average) is WAY overpriced. Salsa and chips for $5.99 in Elk Grove...if you want guacamole it is almost $11.00! I live in Chicago and can attest that I have never seen that price on a bar menu for chips and guacamole. Their three olive vodka drinks I found watered down and of course, overpriced at $6.50 a drink. Since my significant other lives in Itasca, we gave them three chances and after poor service and overpriced average food each time...we were done.

We went just the other day for my wife's birthday. She called two weeks prior to make a reservation for a large group, and when we got there.....NOTHING. So at the last minute we had to scramble to accommodate a large group. When we did eventually get seated our waitress (if you can call her that) took at least half an hour to come over and ask us for drinks. After we finally received them it took her twice as long to come back around again. We ordered some food at around 11PM and at about 12AM when the food hadn't arrived, we asked where it was only to hear that the kitchen was closed. As we paid our bill I handed our waitress $40 cash who proceeded to give me change for $30. When I approached her about this, she acted like I was lying to her and gave me attitude about getting the rest of my money back. Don't expect proper change. If you have a bill that's $21.50 you might as well chalk it up to $22 even. It seems petty to complain about $.50 but if they do this to every customer this adds up. I WILL NEVER GO BACK to this bar again because the service was THAT BAD. It's as though our waitress didn't know how to do her job and we had some of the worst service in MY LIFE. Don't waste your time or money and go somewhere else.

So-I live in elk grove and live super close to this bar., it would be an ideal place to go on a regular basis to hang out and get food from. I have given this place a try at least half a dozen times and each time it is absolutely miserable. Which is really too bad..... Every time I've gone there to hang out at the bar to have a few drinks the bartenders are awful. Not only are they unattentive- not like ur giving them money or anything- but they are slow and rude. It's pretty ridiculous. Also the few times I've been there and stayed until later in the evening they do last call really early. I'm talking like 40 mins early sometimes. They also will start putting up chairs and stools and mopping floors. Then the bouncers will come up and ask you to finish your drink. But wait- I thought you were open until 2am and its only 1:05 right now.....yeah its very hospitable. But I have given this place a handful of chances and it's always been bad bad bad. But what has really set me off was tonight. I tried to order a pizza for pick up- they are a suparossa pizza place too- I ordered a large pizza half sausage half mushroom and they wanted to charge me for two toppings. Now I'm not saying I can't afford two dollars but it's the point. Half and half equals ONE topping not two and every other pizza place charges that way. So after the phone guy said that's just how it is I asked to speak to a manager- chris. How much more u helpful could someone get? Oh wait- meet the manager here. He tried to exsin how much extra labor went into the two toppings- really? Someone hAs to stick their hand in a second bin of toppings, that's rough. But not only was he speaking ridiculously but he didn't care. A corporate place should reallycare about their customers and probably lack there of, so after some additional rudeness I said I was going to order from rosatis- it's delicious- and he hung up on me. Wow now that's quality customer service in the Hospitality industry!!!!!

It is an okay place to go. It is pretty good sized and wide open. It can get a bit loud and crazy at times (I'm not talking about music or entertainment or anything, I am talking about the amount of people and sometimes echoes) and even though it is pretty open, sit-down area with the booths provides enough refuge to get a breather if it gets to be a bit much.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types.
